Getting There and About
Almanara Luxury Resort is located on Galu Beach, which is the central part of three stretches of 7km beaches that make up the 25 kilometres of Diani Beach. The beach is extremely clean and quiet, away from the hassle of the larger hotels situated further north. The area itself is considered an extremely safe and friendly environment.
Visa Information
A single entry Kenya tourist Visa is available on arrival at immigration. The cost is USD25 per person, £20 GBP per person, or €20 EURO per person. Please ensure you have either of these currencies on arrival. Please note: Kenya Shillings are not accepted for the payment of a visa. Please ensure the attached Visa Application Form has been fully completed along with the arrivals card you will have received on your flight prior to landing. Medical Information
Please consult with your travel doctor before leaving for Kenya. We recommend for all of our clients to ensure they have had the appropriate vaccinations along with their prescription of Malaria tablets. You travel doctor should advise you on this matter.
Please ensure you have taken out travel insurance before leaving. The Diani Beach Hospital is located approx 12km (10 minutes) from the resort and is of a high standard providing all the necessary medical facilities.
What to bring
Packing light is the key to success when travelling to the Kenyan coast. The summer months (December, January & February) reach highs of 30-35C, where as the winter months (May June July) bring a few showers – however rarely fall below 20C. [link to Diani Beach/Weather] One or two pairs of light long trousers for the evenings will suffice. Swimwear and light t-shirts are recommended for the day time. Guests are advised to bring sun block and mosquito repellent, although both of these items are available at the resort along with a variety of other basic toiletries. The villas are fully stocked with linen, bath and beach towels.

Private Charter
Almanara's brand new Cessna Grand Caravan can be chartered from Nairobi to Ukunda Airstrip (located 5 minutes from Almanara). The aircraft can also be used to access Ol Seki Mara Camp in the Maasai Mara, along with the other game parks and several other routes around Kenya.
